Pokémon Go Guide: Tips to get Stardust in the game

Best ways to grind for Stardust in the game!

Pokémon Go is an augmented reality game from Niantic where you can play as an actual Pokémon trainer and catch Pokémon in real life. If you’ve played Pokémon Go before, you will know that Stardust is a very important resource in the game. It is used to power up Pokémon in the game and without doing so you won’t be able to win in raids, PvP battles, and so on. So this is why you need to collect as much Stardust as possible regularly to make your team stronger. In this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the several ways in which you can collect Stardust in the game.

How to get Stardust in Pokémon Go

There are several ways using which you can acquire Stardust in Pokémon Go. It’s never enough to collect Stardust using just one way in Pokémon Go as you will constantly need it to upgrade all of your Pokémon. This is why you need to keep on collecting it in every way possible daily so that you have enough Stardust stored when needed.

Here is a detailed list of all the ways using which you can collect Stardust in Pokémon Go.

1. By catching Pokémon

This is the best and most common way of earning Stardust in the game. Every Pokémon provides you with a different amount of Stardust. Some of them award you with more Stardust when compared to others. Here’s the list of all the Pokémon that will provide you with bonus Stardust if you can catch them successfully. The amount of Stardust they provide is written beside them.

2. By feeding Berries at Gyms

You can earn Stardust by feeding the Pokémon which are present at Gyms to defend them. There can be up to 20 Pokémon available at a Pokémon Gym and you earn up to 30 Stardust per berry and 45 Stardust with a Star Piece. But you need to ensure that you don’t feed a Pokémon with a Golden Razz Berry as you won’t be able to feed them anything else and will not be able to use this trick.

You can feed these Pokémon at a distance and even though it may not sound like enough Stardust to do this trick at first, you might change your mind once you do the calculations. You can feed every Pokémon with 10 berries, which means you can earn up to 250 Stardust from a single Pokémon. Now if the gym has at least 6 Pokémon present in it, you can earn up to 2700 Stardust from a single gym.

3. By opening Gifts

You can earn Stardust with the help of your friends in Pokémon Go. They can gift you Stardust and there’s a limit of 20 Stardust per day but on special occasions, you can earn up to 200 Stardust by opening gifts. But with a recent update, Niantic has made it possible for you to earn 50 Stardust through gifts on normal days.

4. By playing PvP battles

PvP battles can be a good return on investment when it comes to Stardust. You need to use Stardust in the first place to be able to take part in PvP battles. It might appear not useful if you are not useful in PvP battles but if you are, you will be able to earn a good amount of Stardust from these battles.

5. By fighting against Team Leaders and Team GO Rocket

One of the other ways using which you can earn Stardust in Pokémon Go is by battling against other players in the game. These players don’t necessarily need to be actual players as they can also buy NPCs such as Team Leaders and Team GO Rocket members.

To battle against these NPCs, all you need to do is go to the Battle Tab and then find the Training Tab from there. After that, you can choose between the three Team Leaders namely Blanche, Candela, and Spark to fight against.

The amount of Stardust you can earn after winning these battles depends on which type of battle you’ve selected. Here’s the list of the three types of battles available along with the amount of Stardust they reward after winning.

  • Great League: 300-600 Stardust
  • Ultra League: 400-800 Stardust
  • Master League: 500-1000 Stardust

6. By Hatching Eggs

You can earn a lot of Stardust by walking and hatching eggs. Currently hatching eggs by walking 12 kilometres will reward you with the most award of Stardust. You can take advantage of this method by taking part in events that double or triple the amount of Stardust which can be achieved from hatching eggs.

7. From the Adventure Sync Rewards

There’s another method using which you can earn Stardust by walking in Pokémon Go. This one is known as the Adventure Sync Walk. You will need to walk as much as you can throughout the whole week and on Monday you will rewarded with all the Stardust you’ve acquired altogether. The amount of Stardust you’ll get depends on the number of kilometres you’ve walked throughout the week.

You’ll get the same reward on walking for 100 kilometres which you will get upon walking for 50 kilometres but with a boost in the amount of Stardust you get. A guaranteed amount of 16000 Stardust will be given to you upon walking for 100 kilometres and with a Star Piece it can go up to 24000 Stardust. If you walk for 50 kilometres you’ll get a guaranteed reward of 6000 Stardust.
