Pokémon Go Palkia (Origin Forme) Raid: Best Moveset, Counters, and Tips

Guide for the best counters against Palkia (Origin Forme) during Battle Raids!

Palkia (Origin Forme) is a special form of the legendary Pokémon Palkia in Pokémon Go. It is part of the Raid Battles schedule for February. The original form of this legendary Pokémon is known to control space as in create and destroy it. By now you might have guessed that Palkia (Origin Forme) will be an adamant opponent to fight against. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we will talk about the best ways and counters which I think will provide you with the best chances against it.

Palkia (Origin Forme) in Pokémon Go

Palkia (Origin Forme) is a dual-type Water and Dragon Pokémon with a CP of 2274 to 2367 at level 20 with no weather boosts. It is weak towards only Dragon and Fairy type attacks. It is an adamant Pokémon to fight against so even if you are a very experienced player with perfect counters, you will still need to bring no less than four trainers. If you have good enough counters, I recommend having six to ten trainers on your team.

The moves that I’ve found to be the best from Palkia in its origin form are Dragon Tail and Spacial Rend. Both of them have a DPS of 20.51 along with 690.99 TDO. It is also the best combination of moves that can be used in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other good options which you can use from its movepool are Dragon Breath, Aqua Tail, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, and Draco Meteor.

You should boost your counters by as much as you can with various boosts such as Party! Power and so on. Good options that you can use in your team are Shadow Pokémon and Mega evolutions. You should only include those Pokémon in your team that you’ve been to level up by a lot and also have weather advantages if the situation allows it.
