Pokémon Go Torterra Raid: Best Moveset, Counters, and Tips

Guide for the best counters against Torterra during Battle Raids!

Torterra is a Tier 3 Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. It will be available during the Sinnoh Tour as a part of the Raid Battles schedule for February and looks like a mix between a tortoise and an ankylosaur. Torterra also has a shell on its back which is dark green and also has a white rim along with a diamond shape with a large tree on top of it as well. You’ll be able to defeat Torterra pretty easily if you use the counters I think are the best by trying them against it personally. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters using which you’ll be able to defeat Torterra in the easiest way possible.

Torterra in Pokémon Go

Torterra is a dual-type Grass and Ground Pokémon with CP ranging from 1600 to 1677 when no weather boosts exist. It is weak towards Ice, Bug, Fire, and Flying-type counters and has a 2x weakness towards Ice-type attacks. If you are a high-level player and use your best counters from the list I’ll provide below, you’ll be able to defeat Torterra all by yourself. But if you are a low-level player, you will need to bring a friend or two to have an easy victory over Torterra.

The best moves from the moveset of Torterra are Razor Leaf and Frenzy Plant. Both of these moves deal an aggregate damage of 14.38 per second along with a total damage of 468.1 before it faints. Other decent attacks from its movepool include Bite, Solar Beam, Earthquake, Sand Tomb, and Stone Edge.
