Gameplay Overview
Let’s start with the gameplay overview of Silver and Blood to help you get a clear idea of how the game works, including its mini-games and other features. In this strategy RPG, you play Noah Nevernight, the Silver-haired Heretic. The game begins with a cool anime-style cinematic, where you are about to be burned alive by Agares Brennholt and his men.
In the beginning, your character seems to have Black Blood disease, followed by his imprisonment by the Church. It starts with dialogue-driven gameplay and skippable scenes, where you can tap to continue or use auto mode. Chapter 0 introduces the story, followed by Chapter 1, where your journey begins.

In this game, you position your Vassals and drag skill cards to specific directions or targets to release their Ultimate, each showcased with a cinematic visual. The game progresses in an idle format, allowing you to enjoy the storyline while also focusing on the auto-strategic battle.
As you advance, you will be joined by various Vassals like Empousa, who saved you, Aiona Alita, her ally, and Nefertari Setti, who starts as an enemy but becomes a Vassal, and more. You can use the regenerating Bloodsoul points to activate Skill Cards and take advantage of the Moon Phases to lower their cost and increase damage.

As you advance, you will face various bosses in the Story mode known as Threads of Fate, like Zagon, and more. Between all the battles and everything, you get to enjoy anime-like cinematics, which feels like watching an Anime rather than playing a game. Plus, you can also adjust the difficulty in Story mode.
Silver and Blood Gameplay Basics
Vassals
As you already know by now, the game offers 51 Vassals to unlock and obtain. You can then level them up by feeding them food. You can use Spirit Siphon to increase your Vassals’ level cap and base attributes.

Each Vassal has four skills, three of which can be enhanced, as Specials cannot be enhanced. As with every game, enhancements increase the attributes of the particular skill. The materials required for Skill Enhance can be obtained from Truth’s Odyssey, which we will discuss soon.
Faction, Class, and Equipment Type
Your Vassals are categorized into five Factions, six Classes, and three Equipment Types.
- Faction: Ancestors, Church, Bloodborn, and Kingdom, with the fifth one coming soon.
- Class: Warrior, Assassin, Defender, Marksman, Sorcerer, and Enchanter.
- Equipment Type: Light, Medium, and Heavy.
Additionally, each Vassal is aligned with one of three Moon Phases: New Moon, Crescent Moon, or Full Moon. While it’s active, all your Vassals’ Ultimate Bloodsoul Cost is reduced by 1, and they gain 25% more DMG.
Lost Courtyard
It is a long-forgotten training ground beneath the castle, where young Vassals once trained. As you progress through Threads of Fate, its various facilities gradually unlock. Here, you can complete challenges to increase your Blood Power and earn rewards.

Early on, you will unlock Truth’s Odyssey, the main raid for collecting Skill-enhancement materials. Here, you can choose a path, resolve events, and gather supplies. Plus, you can also pick your difficulty, and you must complete the entire journey in each area to get all the rewards.
It includes elemental trials like Wind, and you can pick from card choices that grant you Catalysts. You can also opt for Quick battles to instantly finish fights. After each win, you earn Wonders, which offer Catalysts that carry over to your next battles.
As you advance through Threads of Fate, more modes will unlock:
- Infinite Abyss: Unlocked after clearing Threads of Fate 3-2.
- Tomb of the Fallen: By clearing Threads of Fate 3-6.
- Blood Arena: By clearing Threads of Fate 4-4.
- Dutchman’s Revenge: The last one can be unlocked after clearing Threads of Fate 6-1.
Tasks
In this game, you can complete various objectives across Daily, Weekly, and Story Tasks. You can obtain valuable rewards by completing all the tasks, such as Divine Blood Drops, Soli, Scattered Solis, Tranquility Tea, Advanced Shards, Moon Tear, Soothing Embrace, and more.

By completing the milestone achievements, you can earn similar rewards and fill up the reward tree to receive 200 Moon Tears.
Embrace
The Embrace system is the game’s gacha mechanics, allowing you to recruit Vassals by doing Heralds (spins). Currently, there are two banner-like events: Blue Dawn, where you can Herald using Soothing Embrace or Moon Tear, and Celestial Concerto, which requires Perennial Bands.

The good news is that in Blue Dawn, you are guaranteed an SSR Vassal every 60 Heralds. Plus, after 40 Heralds, the Altar of Invocation is unlocked. Here, you can select 5 SSR Vassals from three factions: Church, Kingdom, and Bloodborn. The next time you get an SSR, it will be from one of your chosen ones.
Boutique

The game also features an in-game Shop called Boutique, which includes Seasonal Deals, General Goods, Pacts, Crescent Vault, and more. Here, you can purchase the paid Moon Tears, which are the premium currency of the game. Plus, you can get a Daily Gift for free in Daily Picks, under General Goods.
Silver and Blood Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
1. Focus on the Aspects of your Catalyst for better effectiveness
When choosing a Catalyst, you should pay attention to its Aspects. According to me, it’s best if you stick with the same Aspect whenever possible, as owning more Catalysts of the same Aspect increases their Aspect Level.

By doing this, it grants valuable insights and leads to significant improvements. Do note that some Catalysts are only available to specific Vassals, so you should choose wisely.
2. Prioritize to unlock the Altar of Invocation

The Altar of Invocation is great if you are planning on obtaining SSR Vassals for your lineup. By unlocking it, you can select 5x SSR Vassals from the Church, Kingdom, and Bloodborne, which guarantees your next SSR will be one of your desired picks. You can take advantage of this to build an SSR-based synergized team.
3. Don’t just focus on Rarity
While having top rarity Vassals is great, a team focused on faction synergy can be much better. You can play around with the different Factions and Classes, and build a team around the best ones, making sure your lineup has good sustain, DPS, and so on.
4. Don’t skip any Tasks

You should complete all the objectives from the Daily, Weekly, and Chapter Tasks, as they are a goldmine for resources. You can take advantage of the resources you gain by completing them, from Heralding materials to other useful items, to progress smoothly.
5. Take part in Events regularly

The game features various events, offering very useful items and rewards, and you should take part in all of them if possible. Events like the Cycle of Fate provide 10 Scrolls for clearing every Chapter till Chapter 10. Similarly, by completing the tasks in Silver and Scarlet, you can obtain SR Empousa, and so on.
6. Prioritize upgrades and skill enhancement for your strongest Vassals
You should always focus your resources on Vassals, which bring the most value to your team, rather than blind upgrades. When enhancing skills, prioritize Vassals with strong ultimate abilities, healing, or debuffs. This will help you to beat your enemies more efficiently.
Final Thoughts
Silver and Blood is an exciting Gothic-style strategy RPG that lets you upgrade powerful Vassals, increase your Blood Power, clear Raids, and tackle various tasks and challenges, with generous rewards. Moreover, you will love the immersive storyline and all the stunning anime-style cinematic cutscenes.
As you advance through the Threads of Fate, you will face more challenging enemies and powerful Bosses. But don’t worry, by following the valuable insights and useful tips shared here, you can have a smooth and rewarding gameplay experience in Silver and Blood.
