State.io Beginners Guide and Tips

Conquer the World in the Strategy Game

State.io is an abstract real-time strategy game that allows you to conquer countries in different continents region by region. The gameplay is much like a tactical clash of dots and can be compared to popular games such as Slither.io and Agar.io. However, unlike those two games, this one requires the players to think tactically and plan their next move at a very quick pace. So today in this State.io beginners guide, we will be diving into some tips and basic tricks to help you out to play this game. Therefore, here are some tips and tricks to help the players dominate and conquer the world.

Understanding the gameplay

The gameplay requires players to take over enemy states or countries and conquer the whole region until only the player is the only one left standing. Players achieve this through the power of mind not might. Both the player and the opposition will be given a region each with a 10-dot power at the start.

Players can capture another region just by attacking them with their dots, but doing so can leave your original region vulnerable to the enemy. Each captured state can regenerate dots over time, which can then be used to acquire unoccupied regions or attack vulnerable enemy states. To win players must have complete control of the whole area.

  • Winning a match will also award you some coins which are used to upgrade your dot regeneration and starter dot advantage.
  • Each stage will be more difficult than the last with multiple enemies fighting for the same area.

Plan out your upgrades

Production Speed is by far the best upgrade in this game that a player can wish for. Upgrading It pretty early on makes sure that the captured regions can regenerate dots really fast.

State.io Upgrades
  • The production speed upgrade is so overpowered that players can easily sweep through the beginning levels like a breeze.
  • Start units are also important but are not as good early on due to the number of coins required to upgrade them.
  • It is only in the late game that it becomes necessary to upgrade the starter units too.
  • With the increase in difficulty, enemies will also have more starter units and production speed.

State.io Beginners Guide: Additional Tips and Tricks

Here are some of our additional tips and tricks on how to progress in the game easily as an amateur in the initial stages of the game.

1. Attack a vulnerable region

Once the enemy launches an attack it leaves its original region weak with 0-dots to protect it, which is a great moment to step up and capture it. This is much more efficient than attacking an unoccupied state.

2. Capture closer regions first

As it takes a while for the player’s attack to reach a region that is away from them, they should prioritize maintaining better control close to them rather than being aggressive, especially in beginning.

3. Take advantage of your enemies

When fighting multiple enemies for the control of the area keep a lookout for vulnerable regions to attack as the enemies are not only fighting the player but each other too.

4. Keep an eye on your captured regions

A region can only produce up to 50 dots and can also hold more when getting dots from a friendly region but will not regenerate more. So, make sure there aren’t any regions that are hoarding these dots and use them efficiently to attack the enemies.

Go ahead and give it a try and if you are finding trouble, don’t hesitate to fall back to this State.io Beginners Guide for tips!

The best strategy by far is to upgrade offline earning first… I did it like that and in less than a week i have everything upgraded to lvl 500, but the game stopped making sense it became boring, I mean I’m lvl 500 fighting against enemies lvl 75, I win every game in just 10 seconds, faster than they can conquer a new territory…
