Proper Instructions are important for every game

In most cases, managers face the problem to assign an arrow to a player during the match. Wrong instruction to the players may cause the bad performance of the team and end up losing the match. For instance, you can see sometimes the DCs go too far up in the field and that results in conceding counter-attacking goals. In this article, we will discuss some tricks to use Arrow smartly and effectively.

Top Eleven Arrow Direction guide: Various cases and necessary doings

Scenario 1: Manager facing a higher opponent in Top Eleven

If a manager facing a higher opponent, first of all, the mentality of the team should be normal or defensive with the low press. In this case, the manager needs to have at least 6 players including the GK below the centerline. Now, suppose a manager plays with 4-5-1 (V STYLE) then, the arrow direction of your all defenders should be downwards and all other players should be normal or no arrow should be assigned.

Similarly, if a manager plays with 4-1-4-1, then the arrow of defenders should be down and other players normal or with no instruction. But In case, if the team is losing, then the up arrow can be given to MC or ML, MR considering the attack direction i.e through the middle or down both flanks.

Scenario 2: Manager facing a weak opponent in Top Eleven

If the manager faces a weaker opponent, the UP arrow can be given to DL and DR, but the arrow direction of DC should always be downwards. Suppose, the manager is playing an attacking formation i.e more players above the centerline, then the high press is not recommended by us.

If the manager is playing with AML, AMR & AMC then it is better to keep the arrow of this 3 UP or normal, but never downwards. The arrow direction of a Striker (ST) should always be normal, up arrow may often result in offside.

Scenario 3: Manager facing a equal opponent in Top Eleven

If a manager is facing an equal opponent, first of all, he/she should set a balanced formation. For instance, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-3-2-1,4-1-2-1-2, etc. These formations balance both attack and defense that’s why these formations are considered as balanced formations. In this case, a manager should play with the normal mentality, and pressing should be according to his/her convenience. Similarly, here also the manager should give a downward arrow to DCs, normal/no arrow to DL and DR. Direction of midfield players is according to the opponent’s formation.

Note: Considering the opponent’s formation a manager can give arrow/custom direction to the player of one side only (this case is only applicable when the situation demands)

If the manager is playing an AMC then he/she can assign up arrow to the player. The direction of ST is again Normal or no custom instruction.

“Note: Considering the opponent’s formation a manager can give arrow/custom direction to the player of one side only (this case is only applicable when the situation demands)”

Does this means before match set up or in match set up when you need a goal or loseing?

Thanks in advance.
