shuangwei Interactive Entertainment has announced the launch of their dark action–adventure RPG, AWAKEN: AstralBlade, now available on iOS. Developed by Dark Pigeon Games, this title was initially released in 2024 on multiple platforms as Sony’s China Hero Project.
Explore ancient ruins, master dynamic combat, and pet cats
AWAKEN: AstralBlade is a metroidvania adventure set in mysterious ancient ruins, where you can craft your own story. Here, you’ll journey with Tania to uncover her origins and fate, battling foes and bosses with a variety of combos, and yes, you can even pet a cat along the way.
Combat also feels satisfying, letting you parry attacks, use the Quick Rise ability to jump back into the fight, or slow down enemies while gaining temporary immunity. This mechanic looks super fun, and I can’t wait to spam it in battles.
Players can collect and use Aether, adjust difficulty, and set buffs
Beyond fighting, you can collect mysterious Aether to enhance Tania’s abilities or unlock useful skills for different situations. I also like how the map is designed, making exploration smooth without wasting your time. Plus, you can lower the difficulty level and use useful buffs if you find it tough.
Overall, the game looks very fun, promising a rich story with multiple endings, thrilling combat, diverse combos and skills, and of course, adorable cats. Oh, another cool part is that Tania always has cheerful words, even in the darkest moments.
AWAKEN: AstralBlade is now available on iOS, and you can download the game via the App Store. There are no details regarding an Android launch yet, so stay tuned for more updates!
