Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI): Dynamo faces account ban for violating rules

“I couldn’t practice because of the ban”- Dynamo

Aadii “Dynamo” Sawant, a popular streamer and content creator from India, is currently facing an account ban in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). He tried to log into the game while he was staying in another region, which caused the ban. Last month, he went to Russia to enjoy a vacation and tried logging into his BGMI account from the hotel Wi-Fi. Failing to do so, he tried the local network to log in again. Because of the regional change, he got banned.

With over 9.5 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Dynamo is one of the most popular streamers in India. News of the sudden ban of his account is something that surprised everyone who keeps an eye on the streaming world. Recently, Krafton announced a 50 million downloads event with a permanent free outfit for BGMI players.

On 21 July 2021, Dynamo streamed for the last time before flying to Russia for a vacation. He told his followers that besides traveling in Russia, he would practice for a minimum amount of time. After checking into a hotel, he tried to log into his BGMI account. “I forgot I was not in India anymore!”, he said. “The game’s loading screen kept coming on and on and I thought it was because of the hotel’s network issue. So I tried again by switching to the local network. Suddenly the account got banned. I couldn’t practice because of it”, he added.

PUBG Mobile has developed some regional versions of the game, and BGMI is one of them. The game is available only in India, like China has Game for Peace, and Korea has PUBG Mobile (KR). Due to a political issue between India and China, PUBG Mobile was banned from India along with 59 other Chinese apps.

However, on 2 July 2021, Krafton launched a new and slightly changed version of PUBG Mobile under the name Battlegrounds Mobile India. As the game is available in India only, changing to another region or logging in from other countries will result in a ban from the game.
