Chibi Island the new simulation and adventure game now officially available on Google Play and App Store. The official launch brings a fully-featured version of updated Chibi Island with a new Match3 puzzle, daily quests, and new in-game themes including Wild West and Ancient China. These new additions will make players enjoy Chibi Island for quite a long time
History and overview of Chibi Island
Chibi Island was in live testing since the soft launch in December 2020 with very few features and content. To date, Chibi Island’s metrics have exceeded its creators’ expectations, by improvements to the game coming via player feedback and analysis of the internal game from then it has been continuously updated.
With data collected between January and April 2021 showing the game doubling the retention and average play session benchmarks set by Hero Wars, Nexters’ most successful game. The Nexters experiment to bring an Island-based theme is a success, as the game first launched on social media channels back in 2014 gained 30 million installations to date.
Despite the huge player base, the Nexters development team saw a need for a major renovation of the game to grow the title’s popularity. After a detailed analysis, the team finalized the new concept as a completely new game.
Gameplay of Chibi Island
Chibi Island brings in the visual style and main heroes from Island Experiment. The heroes will explore the island to reveal the mystery of the Pyramid. With more diverse gameplay, clear in-game monopoly and improved farm management, Chibi Island will be an interesting deal for players.
The key upgrade is the deeper storytelling process, with several engaging plot lines that come together in the big finale. Characters of the game are given additional care to make it more immersive. There is also a decent relation between the story and gameplay.
Big achievement for Nexters
The title is developed and published by Nexters, an international game developer which strives to introduce the joy of core gaming experiences to casual players.
The launch extends to an exciting month for the Nexters as they recently announced the SPAC merger deal which secured $50 million of PIPE investments from Mubadala Investment Company and VPE Capital. This merger, when paired with $50 million from Kismet Sponsor Limited, meets the minimum cash condition required under the business combination agreement. The SPAC merger deal is now expected to close by the end of Q3, 2021.
