New Badge System
February also introduces a new competitive badge system for Merge Tactics with this new Badge System. Players who finish the season in the top 1,000 will receive a special badge displaying their final leaderboard rank.
This badge remains permanently in your collection and will only update if you achieve a higher ranking in a future season, allowing you to showcase your best performance over time.
Returning Ruler: Spirit Empress and new Cosmetics
After sitting out the previous season, Spirit Empress makes her return to Starsteel Road as the featured Ruler for February. Her ability, Fusion Foresight, rewards aggressive merging strategies by granting +1 bonus Elixir for every merge.
Those who missed Spirit Empress during her initial release will get another chance to unlock her this season. By earning Spirit Empress Ruler Cards, you can progress through her level-up track and unlock cosmetics for free.

For players who already have her upgraded, February introduces additional cosmetic rewards tied to her progression milestones, including new skins and confetti effects. They are: Ivy Empress, Auric Empress, Starry Strike, Inferno Empress, Wushi Empress (Skin), and Flaming Fury (Confetti).
The Wushi Empress skin, featuring Spirit Empress riding the Spirit Dragon, is also available through the Merge Tactics Ruler Skins Shop.
February 2026 Season Modifiers and Adjusted Modifiers
February introduces three new modifiers, each designed to reward smart merging, troop investment, and star-level planning.
| Modifier | League | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Star Advantage | Bronze III | Higher-Star troops deal more damage to and take less damage from lower-Star troops |
| Domination | Silver I | 3-Star and 4-Star troops gain bonus HP and damage |
| Merge Bonus | Gold III | Each merge grants a 1-Star base troop of the merged unit |
Several existing modifiers have also been reworked this season.
- Building modifiers now grant a 3-Star building in Round 5, instead of a 2-Star building at the start of Round 3.
- Tile modifiers now spawn two tiles at the start of battle, doubling their early impact and opening up more positioning options right from Round 1.
