About the Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend
Released for the Game Boy console, the first three games (The Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III) of the SaGa series are called the Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend. Created by Akitoshi Kawazu, the games were released from 1989 to 1991.
The gameplay of each title has similarities as the objectives are mainly to buy and sell gear in towns, explore caves, castles, fighting monsters, etc. So, whichever game one chooses to play, they won’t have to face any issue in understanding the game.
On their debut in Japan, the games were titled the SaGa series, and the titles were changed to Final Fantasy Legend after the games got released in the Western market. The games would sell more copies if they were published as a spin-off of Final Fantasy, Square Enix strongly believe.
