ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, announced its first official Stardew Valley Cup with a $40,000 prize pool to share with the competitors. The money will be awarded based on some criteria such as the player’s knowledge of the game, ability, and teamwork with other players. The creator of the game is teaming up with Zach Hartman aka UnsurpassableZ, a Twitch streamer with a particular focus on Stardew Valley to host the tournament.

Details about The Stardew Valley Cup
Stardew Valley’s biggest content creators and speed runners will participate in the tournament. The tournament will kick off on 4 September at 9:00 am PST (4:00 pm GMT). Four teams comprised of the game’s dedicated contributors and they’ll fight for a share of the prize money.

To win the tournament, there are nearly a hundred pre-set goals to complete. Upon completing each goal, the teams will earn points in a range between 5 to 25. There are a variety of tasks to complete and the marking points are different as well based on the difficulty of the task. Each team will have its beach firm but will compete at the same time.
Stardew Valley Cup Prize pool
The winning money of a team will be divided among the four members. However, the whole $40,000 will be divided as follows.
- Champion: $28,000
- 2nd Place: $10,000
- 3rd Place: $4,000
- 4th Place: $1,600
Stardew Valley is a multiplayer simulation role-playing game designed and developed by indie developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. It offers decent strategic fights and adventures for the players. The game was first released in February 2016.
ConcernedApe is hosting the entire prize pool all by himself. The event will be streamed on UnsurpassableZ’s Twitch channel. So, far this is the first official competition the fans are getting to watch. They’ll be hoping to spectate an enjoyable event from their beloved streamers.
