Cross Gate: Adventure begins closed-beta test, bringing Square Enix’s fantasy RPG to mobile

Chuang Games has launched a closed beta test for their adventure RPG, Cross Gate: Adventure, now live from September 23 to October 13 on Android in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Officially licensed by Square Enix, this title is based on the iconic MMORPG IP Cross Gate.

Step into the world of Pharan and relive the nostalgia with turn-based battles

Cross Gate: Adventure is a Japanese-style fantasy RPG that brings the unique charm of Pharan to life with vibrant, manga-inspired visuals. I like the idea of how it combines nostalgia with a lively world full of pets, strategic battles, and adventures.

For anyone new to Cross Gate, it’s a Jap MMORPG developed by Dwango, first released in 2001. It soon gained popularity, especially in China, leading to multiple titles such as Cross Gate M, Cross Gate: New World, and Cross Gate: Rebirth. Not to mention, the battle here resembles the Dragon Quest series.

Players can enjoy iconic recreated scenes and fuse 100+ pets to engage in turn-based battles

Coming back to this title, you’ll get to experience a faithful recreation of iconic scenes, now with a fresh touch. I love that they decided to bring over 100 classic pets, each with unique skills and growth trees. Also, the ability to fuse pets and create your dream team, from dragons to sprites, sounds fun to me.

The turn-based tactical battles also look interesting, making me eager to experiment with skill combos. Now, to sum it up, it seems worth trying, with features like free trading, player-driven economy, AFK combat and rewards, cool mounts, various pets, and a lot more.
