Destiny: Rising Season 4 update expands the Red Sea Rift with new story content

So, Destiny: Rising Season 4 takes you into an expanded Red Sea Rift, opening up a new chapter in the game’s story. You can either try the three new story-driven dungeons or just explore freely across the uncharted expanded area at your own pace.

You can also solve the Destination’s diverse puzzles while exploring to earn unique rewards. And if that’s not enough, dynamic content like Frontline Events and Public Events will be introduced, letting you team up and take on these challenges.

Destiny: Rising update brings free Mythic characters and new weapons

Now, one of the best part about this version 4 is how it focuses to bring player-friendly updates and new content. By completing respective events, you’ll be able to unlock all new Mythic characters for free like the Mythic-tier hero Efrideet.

Alongside that, you can also get access to new gear, including;

  • Three classic Exotic weapons from Destiny 2.
  • A new Mythic weapon series.

Besides these, Season 4 update will launch the new second original Gauntlet Onslaught raid, Great Hunt in early April, featuring a boss fight in Njorun Lair along with various speedrun rewards.

On top of that, you can look forward to:

  • Two new 3-player co-op Strike missions.
  • Additional maps and content updates across multiple modes.
  • Higher difficulty tiers for Operation Cordon and The Expanse.

Destiny: Rising Season 4 update improves progression, introduces new systems, and more

This upcoming update also focuses heavily on improving your gameplay experience with various systemic optimizations. And, one big change is the removal of the Pinnacle Energy restrictions, which means you can now play freely across modes without any constraints.

Moreover, progression has also been adjusted for both new and veteran players:

  • Faster early-game progression for newcomers.
  • Reduced task requirements in early chapters.
  • Level cap increased to 90.
  • New Paragon Board system for deeper endgame progression path.

And, the update also introduces a new Season System that helps us track our progress more clearly. You can soon try revamped weapon and artifact systems for more customization. To me, this looks like a significant update since launch and if you’re interested just wait for upcoming dev blog for more details.
