Popular anime franchise based on the Japanese manga, Digimon has got its latest entrant to the video game industry through a mobile game Digimon: Source Code. The game will be released in China for now and is set to release on iOS and Android. Digimon: Source Code has currently started its closed beta test and players who sign up for the early test version will be rewarded with various in-game rewards.
The details of the duration and the rewards of the test are not known as of yet. The official website of the game does not give many details about the minimum and recommended system requirements of the device required for playing.
To be able to access the game players will need to register on the game’s official website by selecting their device type i.e android or iOS and entering their phone number.
The game is another attempt at grabbing the attention of the huge fanbase of Digimon, following another China-only Digimon game Digimon: New Century which was launched in August 2021. The Digimon IP has also seen multiple games in global release for mobile namely Digimon Linkz and Digimon ReArise. The newest addition to the list, co-developed by Bandai Namco Shangai and Baidu Games, is set to satisfy the wishes of the fans.
Digimon: Source Code is expected to be highly customizable with immersive graphics
The game has some unique features that make it stand out such as the use of physically-based rendering (PBR) technology for its graphics and character models that aims to revolutionize the graphics by blending realism with the digital world. Additionally, the details of the overworld are styled in a way that intends to immerse the players by combining dynamic weather and lighting systems.
The leveling up and training methods will also be highly customizable allowing players to make the friendship with their favorite companion a more enjoyable experience. The evolution system is not single and linear, which offers the flexibility of choosing the development path. The combat system also offers multiple options fighting alone, teaming up with friends to challenge powerful challengers from other dimensions.
The game comes with an exciting story mode
Apart from the combat players will also delve into the story mode where the Seven Demon Kings and the Royal Knights are fighting it out for core crystal.
Players will also have a diverse portfolio of over 300 Digimon’s that they will encounter as they progress through the story. The story is full of infinite possibilities and the players are tasked with saving the precious crystal before it falls in the hands of the Demon who will lay wrath to the world.
