ZA/UM has announced a mobile adaptation of their popular psychological RPG, Disco Elysium, set to launch on Android in the Summer of 2025. This award-winning game, coming in a reimagined form by the original studio, is designed to captivate TikTok users. You can pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Stores.
Experience the award-winning gameplay and story-driven adventures
For those unfamiliar, Disco Elysium is a critically acclaimed CRPG offering a complex dialogue system and rich, story-driven adventure set in the city of Revachol. In this game, you play detective Harry Du Bois, as you unravel a murder case and uncover the motives behind the crime.
As a detective, you can wield various tools, from guns to a flashlight, explore dangerous locations, interrogate suspects, make sharp observations, or embrace chaos by playing the role of a cop or a complete disaster.
The game has earned high praise for its intricate dialogue system, which delivers a uniquely immersive narrative experience, explores multiple dialogue outcomes, different endings, and more. This is further enhanced by stunning handpainted art, all-new 360-degree scenes, captivating audio, and voiceover.
The devs are targeting the TikTok audience, offering short gameplay sessions
I am excited to experience the game’s multiple endings and try everything from writing poetry to dancing like a maniac, and more. Plus, each skill you level up manifests as a voice inside your head. I am also eager to try out the Thought Cabinet and customize my detective’s style with outfits that boost stats.
Denis Havel, the Studio head said, “We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all-new, deeply engaging form of entertainment.” He further said, “Today’s ZA/UM studio is comprised of both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP.“
Moreover, Chris Priestman, narrative lead said, “This reimagination is now structured to fit the way people play on mobile, making it effortless to enjoy in short bursts.” Sadly, many of the key people who worked on Disco Elysium are not at ZA/UM, however, I am still looking forward to its release.
Disco Elysium is set to launch on Android this Summer, and you can pre-register for the game from the Google Play Store.
