eFootball 2026 has actually been making some surprise moves regarding new additions, and we have something new to discuss with the September 2025 update. While the Epic packs, to be fair, haven’t been very exciting since they are re-releases, the new Link-Up play might be shaping up to be the new meta.
eFootball 2026 September 2025 update + Patch v5.0.2 details
European Club Championship Campaign
The big event this month is the European Club Championship Campaign, which runs from September 4 to September 18, 2025. The campaign introduces a range of objectives, events, and rewards, which straight up give 50 coins if you log in daily.
The Campaign Hub will be the central spot where you can progress by playing PvP or AI matches to earn rewards. Advancing 20 spaces will grant Position and Skill Tokens, 50 eFootball Coins, 42,000 Exp, and a huge 750,000 GP.
Logging in daily during the campaign will provide even more rewards, including additional Tokens, 60,000 Exp, and 100,000 GP. Campaign Objectives will also go live with new challenges on September 11, offering Advanced Skill Tokens, GP, and Exp as prizes.
New Manager: Fabio Capello
There we go, the first Manager in the eFootball 2026 era that is available for purchase via Coins, and it is a 750 Coins offering with Fabio Capello in his 91-92 Version. Capello comes with the new Over-the-Top Pass A Link-Up Play.
The style allows the Key Man to move forward aggressively when the Centrepiece holds the ball in a defensive half. Through balls and chipped passes directed by the Centrepiece to the Key Man will have higher accuracy, while passing and trapping abilities are boosted.
In short, this tactic is designed for fast counterattacks that maximize long-ball efficiency. Sounds like the new meta to me, and the pack that has arrived also screams “new meta”. He also offers strong proficiency in Long Ball Counter and Long Ball, so you know now those lofted through balls will be on a high.
New Epic and Show Time Cards
This update also brings fresh cards to the spotlight with the Over-the-Top Pass A pack. Legendary names Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard join as 101-rated Epic cards, featuring unique player skills such as Phenomenal Finishing and Momentum Dribbling for the former and Fortress and Visionary Pass for the latter.
For the Show Time picks, we have Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella, both coming off as really strong Show Time picks with this pack, with Martinez getting Phenomenal Finishing and Blitz Curl skills.
Patch v5.0.2 Changes
A small change, with the screen size issue players have been facing, has now been fixed.
