KONAMI is bringing the v5.2.0 update for eFootball 2026, and it brings one of the biggest refreshes the game has seen in a while. This update expands campaigns, introduces new systems, adjusts gameplay, and adds several quality-of-life improvements. Well, there’s a lot to uncover, so here’s everything that will arrive.
eFootball 2026 v5.2.0 update overview: All campaigns and new features explained
Campaigns and Events Overview
The December event schedule is packed, and several campaign types overlap throughout the month.
FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign
The FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign sets the tone, giving you new Special Player Lists, guaranteed Show Time players, and access to a temporary Campaign Hub that acts as a shop. You can exchange event currencies for items, managers, boosters, and other useful materials.
African Cup of Nations campaign
The African Cup of Nations campaign also runs during this period, featuring African stars such as Salah, Mane, and Osimhen. By completing event objectives, you can even unlock the Legend Epic version of El‑Hadji Diouf.

Festive Season campaigns
A festive-themed campaign arrives on December 18, bringing the highly anticipated Epic Oliver Kahn with his new Show Time GK skill, Spirit Roar, along with new holiday‑styled selections.
The CONNECT 30th Anniversary Campaign begins as well, where players can participate by submitting ideas for future Nominating Contracts. Additional Special Player Lists from the Brazilian League are planned, and several new legends will be released gradually as part of the anniversary celebration.
New Event Types
Alongside these campaigns, two new event types are introduced. On December 4, 2025, an event goes live that restricts players you used in your previous win, forcing you to constantly rotate your squad rather than relying on the same XI.
Then, on December 18, 2025, the Tour Rally event launches, where you accumulate points by completing specific match objectives such as scoring goals, taking headers, or winning duels.
Match Analysis Feature
A completely new analysis system has been added to help you understand how you actually play. By reviewing your last ten PvP matches, you can see charts that reveal your gameplay style, such as how often you dash, finesse dribble, or defend.

Defensive habits like pressing, matching up, and moving are also tracked, which is kind of interesting. You can compare your habits with players from other divisions. The 10-match limit is pretty decent, which also allows you to think about improvements.
Real‑Time Advice and Expanded AI‑Control
During matches, the game now monitors the commands you enter and can trigger comments or advice from players or managers. At half‑time or full‑time, you also get more detailed suggestions with visual examples. No details on whether you can turn them off or not.
The AI‑controlled feature has been expanded so you can decide when to let the AI handle certain moments of play. From what the devs say, you can have the trickiest actions for the AI and take control only when it matters most.
Updated Booster Crafting
Booster crafting finally gets a much-needed upgrade. You can now craft twelve additional booster types, with Accuracy, Regista, and Ball Protector among the new ones. Random Booster Tokens have also been improved; they now draw from a pool of fifteen boosters depending on the position the player is registered to.
New Managers: Ronald Koeman and Gennaro Gattuso
After debuting as a player, Ronald Koeman joins as a new manager option, and he comes with a fresh tactical approach called Aggressive Centring A. His manager pack includes two highlight players and features a dedicated 3D model.
A new pack is also coming, featuring David Beckham and Koller, based on the new tactical approach. Gennaro Gattuso is also a new manager arrival, whom you can pick from the FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign, with his tactical details under wraps.
Gameplay Adjustments
Through balls receive a noticeable re‑balancing in this update. Konami has tuned defending so that these passes behave more realistically. The gap created by differences in sprinting ability has been reduced, stamina now affects acceleration less harshly, and defensive awareness now reflects acceleration.
New Goal Celebrations
Several new celebration animations have been added, but they only trigger under specific conditions. If you score a spectacular long‑range goal or finish a chance with a clean first‑time strike, one of these special celebrations may activate automatically.
