- eFootball Championship 2026 kicks off with the FC Barcelona Club Event.
- Tournament keeps Club Events and Open format, with qualifiers across global regions.
The eFootball Championship, KONAMI’s biggest annual esports competition, is back for 2026, bringing excitement to both Mobile and Console players. Let me explain in depth how the eFootball Championship 2026 will play out alongside the format, schedule, and more details.
eFootball Championship 2026 Format: Club Event and Open
Much like last year, the event will once again feature two main pillars: the eFootball Championship Club Events and the eFootball Championship Open, giving everyone a chance to compete and climb up the ranks.
Club Events
The 2026 season continues in a familiar style, with the Club Events sponsored by partner clubs such as FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Manchester United.
Each Club Event starts with four online qualifiers, split into regions: Europe & Africa, Americas, Asia (West), Asia (East), Oceania & Other Regions. Winners from these qualifiers will battle it out in the Club Finals, with the best players moving on to represent their clubs at the World Finals in Summer 2026.
Meanwhile, the eFootball Championship Open keeps its classic format, open to all players worldwide. Although KONAMI has not yet revealed full details, it is expected to follow the same structure as 2025.
It is likely to have multiple qualifiers across platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Mobile), before narrowing to Mobile and PlayStation in later rounds. Finalists from each region will qualify for the World Finals to compete for the championship title.
eFootball Championship 2026 Schedule and Prize Pool
Schedule
The 2026 competition has officially begun, kicking off with the FC Barcelona Club Event. Round 1 and 2 are already underway and will conclude on September 24, 2025. More Club Events from other partner teams will follow in the coming months.
While the full schedule has not yet been published, if it follows the 2025 season, we can expect multiple qualifying rounds spread across the year, culminating in the World Finals around July 2026.
Prize Pool
KONAMI has yet to reveal the prize pool for the 2026 season. However, looking back at eFootball Championship 2025, both Mobile and Console categories awarded $20,000 to the champions, with payouts extending to the top 16 players. A similar prize structure is likely this year, and I will update once it is made known.
Where to watch the eFootball Championship 2026
All Club Event Finals will be streamed live on the official eFootball YouTube and Facebook channels, alongside each club’s own platforms. Full replays and individual matches will also be uploaded afterwards on YouTube.
