Global publishers joined the Esports Nations Cup to feature a diverse set of titles

As the first initiative is going to see the face of light by the end of this year, popular publishers are already under the radar of the organizers. Companies like Electronic Arts, Chess.com, Krafton, MOONTON Games, SNK, Tencent, and Ubisoft partnered, and more names will be revealed soon, along with the roadmap.

The event will be a massive one, similar to the Esports World Cup (EWC), but distinctive as it will host nations instead of organizations. To ensure the participation of each nation, no teams are allowed to have a full roster from a single organization. ENC says it will make sure that the teams are formed based on merit and diversity.

Each game will feature between 24 to 48 national teams with players ranging between 32 to 128. There will be both solo and team events, where a maximum of two players will be in a solo event and one team per nation.

Esports Nations Cup 2026: Schedule and Format

The inaugural season of the Esports Nations 2026 will take place offline in Riyadh. It will be a four-week-long event with each title having a separate offline presence. Although the exact date and format have not been announced, the event organizers have confirmed that they will host the competition in November 2026.

The national team partners will be announced by March, and rosters will be revealed by mid-June. The qualifiers will start in June, and the group stage will take place in October. Then, the event will finally start in November 2026.

However, half of the teams and players will be directly invited based on their performance in each title throughout the year. And the other half will have to cross a qualifier stage. Again, details will be revealed at a later date. So, we can only wait to see the next big reveals and all.

Nations Cup opens national partner application

As this is going to be the very first event for the ENC, it has opened a national partner application. These partners will coordinate national representation for the ENC, oversee and support national team coaches, and coordinate with publishers and Clubs within the ENC framework. They will promote and mobilize local communities to participate in the event.

It also opened applications for national team managers who will be in charge of selecting the team members by following the guidelines set by EWCF and the game publishers. There will be a two-phase application process for both the managers and partners.
