Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Luna III update, titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Interlude – A Nocturne of the Far North”, arrives on December 3, 2025. This update adds to the Nod-Krai lore, kicks off the grand festival, Moon-Prayer Night, and debuts the new playable character, Durin, various events, and more.
The story expands in Nod Krai with new celebrations and mysteries
Lore-wise, Nasha Town comes alive again after the fall of Rächer of Solnari, now bringing the cheerful atmosphere of Moon Prayer Night. During this, you can visit festival stalls, take part in fun activities, and even collect memories for a stamp book. But the festival mood shifts soon enough when Hexenzirkel members show up.

Alice and Nicole Reeyn appear, issuing a warning that Teyvat’s borders are now destabilizing. Moreover, strange phantoms are also spreading through Nod Krai, so you’ll have to investigate the cause with Albedo, Durin, and the Wanderer. And by completing this Archon Quest, you’ll earn 500 Primogems.
Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Luna III Update: New playable characters and reruns
Durin: 5-star Pyro Sword
The main highlight of this update is Durin, a 5-star Pyro Sword user with two distinct combat forms. Once a dragon from the land of Simulanka, he carries a human body created through Albedo’s alchemy, now granting him dual powers.

His Simulanka form focuses on supportive AoE Pyro damage, and his Abyssal stance lets him do devastating attacks on single targets, while enhancing his Vaporize and Melt reaction DMG. If you want to learn more about his lore and his connection with Hexenzirkel, you can clear his Story Quests and also earn a special reward for him.
Johoda: 4-star Anemo Bow User

Along with Durin, Johoda, a 4-star Anemo Bow user, will also arrive. She can heal allies and enhance damage by absorbing Elements.
Re-runs
The first phase of the update features Durin and Jahoda, with fan-favorite Venti also returning. Varesa and Xilonen follow them in the second half.
Transform your favorite characters into Hexerei characters to receive powerful new upgrades
This update also enhances characters tied to the Hexenzirkel. When the update goes live, you can transform characters like Durin, Venti, Klee, Albedo, Mona, Razor, Fischl, and Sucrose into Hexerei characters and gain new abilities and Constellation effects by clearing Alice’s Witch’s Homework.

Moreover, if you add two Hexerei characters to your team, you can trigger the Hexerei: Secret
Rite effect, which buffs your team’s combat power. For instance, if you’re a Venti main, you’ll be able to fire Windsunder Arrows when his Stormeye is active.
Winter events and creative tools round out the update
Coming to events, you’ll be returning to Dragonspine with the Soulblazers’ Snowbound Journey event and enjoy winter-themed minigames. You can also earn event rewards like the exclusive 4-star Rainbow Serpent’s Rain Bow weapon, along with Primogems and more.

On top of that, you’ll also get to enjoy new story moments and interactions with the Dameselette in Silvermoon Hall, back in Nod Krai. And there’s more, as Envisage Echoes challenges expand with new echoes based on Klee and Albedo as rewards.
And for fans wondering about the UGC gameplay module, Miliastra Wonderland, it will also get a new Wonderland Resource Center, which allows you to share and obtain resources freely with the editing tool. Plus, Version Luna III also brings more rewards like fun actions, expressions, and free pulls, along with a seasonal winter-themed Main Hall for you to customize.
