Gravity Game Tech has announced that their open-world MMOARPG, Project Abyss: Next Ragnarok, is now renamed to Ragnarok Abyss, and opened pre-registration on Android, iOS, and PC. It is also preparing for an exclusive test in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand from November 28 to December 6.
Relive the Ragnarok charm and explore a world without loading zones
It feels like a new Ragnarok title pops up every few months, yet the excitement among the loyal fans never fades. That said, Ragnarok Abyss stands out as a full-fledged 3D action MMORPG that truly captures the scale of the vast open world, while keeping that signature charm of adventures alive.
Interestingly enough, the name itself came from a community event called First Explorers – Let’s name our world! event, where fans help decide the title for Project Abyss: Next Ragnarok. And the team went with RO: Abyss, which feels fitting.
You can explore a vast world without any loading zones, packed with dynamic weather and real-time day-night cycles, which I really love in games. So, rain, snow, sandstorms, and even thunder affect your journey in real time. Moreover, you can also create your own character, with cool hairstyles, skin tones, an advanced dye system, and more.
Players can enjoy fast-paced combat and choose from iconic jobs
Coming to combat, you can dive into a fast-paced action-driven combat system with no long casting times, and especially no idle farming, which is great, as I personally don’t enjoy idle elements much. But still, there is an offline farming system, so don’t worry about losing progress when you’re away.
Overall, this one looks very promising with seamless open-world exploration, weather and time systems, character customization, and Genshin-like gameplay and visuals, classic job system with dynamic combat, hidden chests, and more. I do hope the game releases soon, though.
