- HoYoverse teases its new Unreal Engine 5 fantasy project with a 20-second clip.
- The project promises an open world with large-scale battles, intelligent NPCs, and more.
- The title is part of HoYoverse’s massive lineup that includes future RPG and AI-driven titles.
HoYoverse is running riot with its new project reveals, as there is yet another reveal. Marketed as an MMORPG, a short 20-second teaser gives players a glimpse of the game environment of what could be one of the most ambitious projects from HoYoverse, which is built on Unreal Engine 5.
The glimpse doesn’t reveal much, but it does show a dark, western-style world that feels like it’s set in the future. The ground looks soft and wet, almost like it moves or sinks slightly as something crawls beneath it, as you can spot a slimy creature sliding across the surface.
Speculations link it to the “Varsapura” trademark, which hinted at AI-powered storytelling
According to the project description, translated from Chinese, this game lets players “enter a grand fantasy world filled with ancient mysteries, ferocious demons, and legendary heroes.“ The description also hints at powerful gods, unpredictable forces, and a personal journey to bring back order.
The team mentioned several next-gen features like dynamic open-world systems, full-terrain combat AI, intelligent NPC behaviour, large-scale co-op boss battles, and a new animation technology for more lifelike movement.
What’s fascinating is how this ties into HoYoverse’s earlier lineup of “future projects” revealed back in March. Out of the seven projects they teased, two were developed using UE5, one was a Modern City RPG, and the other was a Realistic Fantasy Action RPG.
The second one matches closely with what we’re seeing here: a fantasy world with realistic visuals, made using physically based rendering (PBR) for a more immersive experience. And let’s not forget about “Varsapura”, a trademark HoYoverse registered in August.
This has been speculated as an AI-powered title, so it could be the same title, too. But with the official website now live, it mentions “boss” in the URL, and it has been highlighted in the post too, so it could be the name for the game, although this confirmation is yet to arrive. Currently, they have opened recruitment.

About everything we discussed, of course, it’s still too early to draw solid conclusions. The trailer doesn’t reveal much beyond beautiful scenery. It does look a little scary, and I really hope this runs on mobile when it launches. More details are expected in the coming days, so stay tuned.
