Clumsy Bear Studio has announced its latest strategic roguelite deck-builder adventure title, Hungry Horrors, which saw a demo launch on PC with Android and iOS development in the works. Set in the mythical British Isles, the game blends strategy, culture, and humour.

Get ready to master and showcase your culinary skills in Hungry Horrors

Hungry Horrors is an indie pixel art roguelite deck builder where you play as a Brave Princess, wielding your culinary skills as a weapon to appease mythical creatures from British, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Celtic folklore.

To survive and protect your kingdom, you need to prepare and serve authentic regional dishes to satisfy these creatures, otherwise, you will become their next meal. As a foodie, I have heard jokes about British cuisine being bland, but this game makes me excited to master the art of cooking these traditional dishes.

Feed dishes like Haggis to terrifying creatures like Black Annis

You can craft and customize your deck with classic British and Irish cuisine, like Haggis, Stargazy Pie, and more, and use them strategically to feed the monsters and keep them away from you. Moreover, I am eager to encounter terrifying folklore figures like Black Annis, Jenny Greenteeth, and more.

With the game offering new challenges and opportunities each run, friendly folkloric characters, the ability to recruit familiars as loyal companions, monsters’ food preferences, legendary artifacts to experiment with, and beautifully crafted environments inspired by the British and Irish Isles, the game looks promising.

Hungry Horrors is scheduled to launch on Android and iOS, which we can expect later this year. You can check the game’s official website for more details. This indie title will debut first on PC, and its demo version is currently available on Steam. Stay tuned for future updates!
