Indies’ Lies, published by Playbest Games, is a single-player card-building strategy game combined with roguelike elements and is all set to release its mobile version on September 23. The game will be available on both iOS and Android devices. Its PC version is also scheduled for a December 2021 release.
This single-player is quite different from other deckbuilding games with its optimized features, allowing the overall deckbuilding process to be smoother.
Indies’ Lies: Gameplay features
The game offers an original worldview with different story modes. Playing with different characters will allow players to collect clues to unlock story mode specific to that character. Collecting clues will then take players into the world of beliefs of old and new gods (Indies).
Roguelike mechanics allow turn-by-turn attacks and players can manage their skills and attack cards before the battle. There are a total of three different professions at the initial stage with each profession having its own talent and characters.
Characters have their own gameplays, talent trees, and varied lieutenants which makes deckbuilding more diverse. When it comes to inviting lieutenants, players can invite only two lieutenants in the battle. Each level in Indies’ Lies will reward players gold coins and new cards. Players can choose to upgrade or replace their decks. Positioning, rune, talents, and draws are separated for each hero.
Pre-registration details
It will be interesting to see how the game will perform compared to other roguelike card games like Slay the Spire, Night of the Full Moon, and Dream Quest. Players can pre-register on iOS, Android, and Steam. So far, the size of the game during pre-registration for iOS is expected to be 1 GB. As for Android, it will vary from device to device.
