Kakao Games has announced its new casual match-3 puzzle title, SMiniz, with the global closed beta test now live on Android until December 12. Initially called SM GAME STATION, this title utilizes SM Entertainment’s IPs and is planned for a Q1 2026 global release.
Play with your favorite K-pop artists in chibi form and solve puzzles
It looks like SM Entertainment is following HYBE’s footsteps with a new casual title, SMiniz, now targeting global fans with Kakao Games handling worldwide publishing. Developed by METABORA, with SM Entertainment providing IPs of their popular groups, bringing them in cute chibi forms called Miniz.
Here, you can solve match-3 puzzles alongside your favorite characters from beloved groups like NCT, aespa, and RIIZE. Honestly, I’m not the biggest K-pop fan, but I do love aespa, especially Karina and Winter. So, I’m curious to see how the game brings them to life in chibi form.
That said, I’m a little envious of the CBT players, as they can try a variety of content, including a photocard collection filled with the artists. And, I guess the puzzle gameplay will be good, alongside character customization. The good thing is, the game is arriving globally soon enough after the devs review the overall game with this test.
SMiniz is now conducting a closed beta test on Android until December 12, and the game is set to launch globally in Q1 2026. So stay tuned for more updates!
