King Arthur: Legends Rise is shutting down on March 12, 2026, after just one year of service

Another high potential title ending too soon!

Story Highlights
  • King Arthur Legends Rise is a squad-based RPG with solid visuals, created with Unreal Engine 5.
  • You can still download it from the app stores and play, but in-app purchases are disabled.
  • The team will reveal more details about the refund schedule and process in a future notice.

Netmarble has announced the shutdown of its squad-based RPGKing Arthur: Legends Rise, scheduled for March 12, 2026. First announced in March 2023, this title officially launched last November and is now sunsetting after just 1 year of service due to operational difficulties.

The game ended up spending more time in beta testing than in its actual launch period

I had high hopes for King Arthur: Legends Rise, a squad-based RPG, as it lets us enjoy a cool narrative of the war between the ancient Gods and Humanity set in a magical Britain. Here, you can build a team of legendary figures, fight against powerful enemies as you dive into the twisted storyline of Arthur and Excalibur.

Unfortunately, the King Arthur: Legends Rise Team announced via Netmarble forum that the game would shut down on March 12, 2026, stating, “after extensive internal consideration and discussion, we have arrived at the difficult decision that it is no longer feasible to provide continuous service.

You can download and play the game until the EOS date

Following the announcement, the game has disabled all in-app purchases. However, you can still download the game from the Google Play Store and App Store and enjoy your final moments until the EOS date, which is March 12, 2026. Lastly, community discord and SNS will be closing on June 13, 2026.

Refunds will be available, but you need to wait for future announcements for the procedure. Still, I’m disappointed to see it end so soon, especially since it had potential. The community liked it too, as one said, “It was actually a good game, but just ran poorly.” But it’s a Netmarble title, and a fan noted, “Oh no, another Netmarble game, that’s a shame, and I am shocked.
