KLab, the Japanese game developers based out of Tokyo who’ve worked on titles like Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, Bleach: Brave Souls, Utano Princesama: Shinin Live, and others, have now acquired to rights to the My Hero Academia IP, granting them the rights to make a game based on that, which they have now announced.
The game is set to be released in Japan and Worldwide with the exception of the Chinese Mainland
In a post on their official website, KLabs announced that they were working on an online game set to be released worldwide (with the exception of Mainland China) with the permission of the My Hero Academia Production Committee. The game will be based on the extremely popular TV Anime which is still being aired and we haven’t gotten a genre or an approximate release timeframe yet.
A game that can be enjoyed not only by fans of this work but also by players all over the world by utilizing the know-how cultivated through the development and distribution of multiple games based on IP that KLab has developed in Japan and overseas.
Now they haven’t exactly specified the platform the game is set to launch on. However, considering how KLab’s portfolio is mainly if not completely composed of mobile games, the game will also likely launch on Android and iOS devices.

Details are sparse right now however we should see more details pour in soon as the game enters development and more details are officially announced. KLabs in the past has put out other games based on anime franchises that have done well and with the kind of reputation that My Hero Academia has, interested gamers will have high expectations. KLab has also promised updates in the future as the game’s development continues.
