- KLab’s My Hero Academia game is being developed with official approval from the My Hero Academia Production Committee.
- Though details are limited, the game is planned for a global release excluding mainland China.
KLab Inc., the studio behind Bleach: Brave Souls and more, has announced that a new mobile game based on the hit My Hero Academia anime series is set to launch globally in 2026. The company had secured the rights to the My Hero Academia IP back in November 2022.
Get ready for a fresh MHA adventure on mobile
It’s been a long wait, but KLab Inc. has finally revealed the launch date for its upcoming My Hero Academia mobile title. After months of silence, we can now look forward to a fresh title officially approved by the My Hero Academia Production Committee.
Now, there are probably very few people who haven’t heard of MHA by now. At one point, fans even declared it as part of the next Big Three of anime. The series, based on Kohei Horikoshi’s popular manga, has sold over 100 million copies globally, and I believe the timing of this game is right, as the IP is still massive.
Details are still scarce, but there is faith in KLab’s experience
With the final season airing this month, this announcement has arrived at the perfect time. As a longtime, who is guilty of dropping the anime mid-way, I’m hoping to see the fan-favorite characters like Deku, Bakugo, and the rest of the gang be brought to life with solid design and signature skills.
That said, there are still not many details available yet, but the team did mention that development is going smoothly. They didn’t even provide the official title yet, but considering the studio’s track record with Bleach: Brave Souls, HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH, and more, my expectations are high for this one.
Sadly, mainland China will’ve to sit this one out, since the game is planned for global release, expect them. The devs have promised to offer more details soon, so stay tuned in this space!
