Mahjong Soul, an anime-themed Japanese riichi mahjong game, is conducting a special collaboration event with Kaguya-sama: Love Is War-Ultra Romantic titled War of Love. For a limited time, this event introduces four new characters as well as a new set of clothing, decorations, and special effects. There’s also a new match mode and new activities to try out.
War of Love event features exciting new activities and rewards
The event began on April 26th and will end on May 17th (UTC-7). To commemorate the partnership with the hit comedy anime series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War-Ultra Romantic, Mahjong Soul has created a limited-time Tabletop Game, School Project, Display Cabinet, and Activity Log. Players can win a variety of rewards for participating in these activities, including Summon Scroll.
Tabletop Game is a four-player East Match with a unique rule: at the start of the game, it will randomly distribute three cards, a Dealer Card, a Chance Card, and a Destiny Card, each having additional rules printed on them, which can spice up the match and make it both tough and enjoyable. Furthermore, each of these three categories has five cards, and players can earn rewards by collecting all of them. In the Display Cabinet, you’ll find the encountered rule cards.
During the event, players may expect fantastic rewards for completing School Project assignments. Players will also gain Event Pts after winning a hand in a Ranked Match or Tabletop Game. Players can earn various rewards in the Activity Log by accumulating Event Pts.
New characters are introduced in the Mahjong Soul War of Love event
This cooperation event features Kaguya Shinomiya, Miyuki Shirogane, Ai Hayasaka, and Kei Shirogane, who are all limited-time characters from the anime. The anime follows Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, two talented high school students who have a crush on each other but go out of their way to make the other confess first, resulting in many hilarious and romantic situations.
Kaguya’s personal maid at the Shinomiya home is Ai Hayasaka. They’re as if they’re sisters. Miyuki Shirogane’s younger sister, Kei Shirogane, has a plain attitude and is well-liked by many.
This cooperation tries to reproduce the four memorable characters as closely as possible from the anime, showcasing their charm in battle with spoken lines from anime voice actors and numerous emotes. These four new characters are also given new Heart Thief-inspired costumes.
New Decorations and Special effects are coming with the event
Winning – Love’s Descend, Riichi – Love’s Arrow, Riichi Bet – Love’s Introspection, Tile Back – Love’s Silhouette, and Tablecloth – Love’s Witness are among the new décor and special effects featuring classic anime elements.
