- Marvel Mystic Mayhem confirms end-of-service timeline and goes offline on April 1, 2026.
- Final characters and storyline updates will roll out before content development fully stops.
- Servers remain playable until shutdown, with advance shut down notice promised for players.
NetEase Games has officially announced that its team-based tactical RPG, MARVEL Mystic Mayhem, will begin its end-of-service process. The team confirmed that all new content development will stop on April 1st, 2026.
MARVEL Mystic Mayhem’s shut down announcement comes just after six months of release
You will still be able to log in and play all existing content until the final shutdown, with at least 60 days’ notice promised before servers go offline. The team also confirmed that monetization will be reduced starting 25th December, 2025, alongside small gratitude rewards for players who stick around until the end.
A few characters and story beats that were already in development will still roll out over the next few months. This includes multiple 3-Star characters arriving: Jean Grey, Venom, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Morgan le Fay.

A new main storyline chapter titled “Dream in the Hive”, scheduled to go live in January next year. After March 19, 2026, however, no additional characters or story updates are planned. The announcement surely is a surprise, since the game just launched six months ago.
This marks the second Marvel IP title from NetEase Games in the last two years to meet the same fate. Previously, Marvel Super War, an MOBA experience, shut down on June 27, 2024.
MARVEL Mystic Mayhem was a free-to-play team-based tactical RPG that was revealed in October 2024 and launched on June 25th, 2025. The game lets players build squads using familiar Marvel heroes and villains, mixing classes like Striker, Defender, Controller, and Fighter.
Well, with this, I’m typing yet another shutdown announcement. This month has been especially rough for mobile games, with many titles set to close next year. Hopefully, things take a turn for the better in the coming year.
