Match Masters secures $10 million funding while featuring Robbie Williams in its new campaign

The game launches a combined TV and online campaign in the UK starring Robbie Williams and Vinne Jones!

Candivore, the Israeli game development business behind one of the most popular mobile games, Match Masters, has closed a $10 million funding round led by Vgames, an Israeli video game venture capital firm, and Tiger Global Management, a globally active investment fund. Candivore’s overall fundraising to far has totaled $22 million, with $12 million raised in 2021.

Match Masters has amassed a massive following, with more than 30 million downloads across Google Play and Apple Stores and more than 5 million monthly active users playing more than 10 million matches every day.

Candivore’s upcoming ad campaign in the United Kingdom coincides with this additional funding

The UK ad campaign, which will include both TV advertising and internet experiences, will debut on May 27 and will include iconic musician Robbie Williams and actor and football star Vinnie Jones. Candivore’s forthcoming campaign will be the company’s largest yet, with advertising directed at TV and digital platforms as well as multiple offline activities. Candivore ran similar advertisements with tennis legend Boris Becker in Germany and comic actor Cezary Pazura in Poland.

Match Masters, unlike other Match-3 games, turns the popular genre into a first-of-its-kind PvP competition. Match Masters pits players against live opponents in a fast-paced turn-based environment, with new gameplay modes added every day, as well as tournaments and events that allow participants to earn rewards.

The mobile gaming space has been booming for years and our journey has been wilder than anything we could have imagined. As we continue to work passionately to add more features for our players, our continued partnership with Vgames will help our efforts to make Match Masters even more rewarding for our global community of users.

Match Masters brings in a lot of money when compared to games with far larger viewership. Match Masters generated $7 million in March 2022, according to statistics collected by application intelligence vendor Sensor Tower. 8 Ball Pool, is a smartphone game with tens of millions of monthly active players, with a total income of $10 million during the same time period.

“We are very excited about Candivore’s prospects”, said Eitan Reisel, founder of Vgames. “The mobile gaming market is witnessing tantalizing growth, and Candivore’s Match Masters has already positioned itself as one of the leading mobile games. With the long-standing support of Vgames, I am confident that this mobile gaming experience will gain more momentum, creating ample opportunities for stakeholders and gamers alike.”

In addition to the television and online advertising, the Candivore team will stage a real-life free-to-enter festival on June 11 and 12, 2022 in Potters Field Park near London Bridge, with live DJs, interactive games, and competitions, influencer and celebrity meet-ups, and more.
