Mindcop challenges you to solve the murder case in five days by diving into minds, pre-registration now open

Catch the real killer hiding in Merrilyn Crater Camp!

Story Highlights
  • Mindcop is a non-linear whodunnit detective game that blends story-driven adventure with real-time puzzle solving.
  • The game offers the Mindsurf mechanic, a gripping crime story, rich characters, hidden motives, dramatic twists, and more.
  • You can use your Mindcop abilities to expose secrets and track down the real killer, before they escape.

Plug In Digital has announced that they’re bringing the non-linear, whodunnit detective adventure title, Mindcop, now available for pre-registration on both Android and iOS. Developed by Andre Gareis, this indie title first arrived on PC and console, with an expected release on January 20, 2026, for mobile.

Solve the murder case in time, before the killer escapes

First of all, this instantly gave me a small Adventure Time vibe, at least visually. Now, that aside, if you’re ready to crack a case in just 5 days by literally diving into the minds of your suspects, Mindcop will surprise you. I personally loved the concept and how well it blends story-driven adventure with real-time puzzles.

So, you play as an infamous Mindcop and start investigating crime scenes for clues. You can interrogate suspects, push them for answers, and sometimes they lie to your face, which makes it more intriguing. But the best part is entering their minds as the Mindsurf mechanic lets you explore their thoughts and emotions.

Shape the story with your choices and discover two different endings

Moreover, it’s also fun because it stays challenging as every decision eats your limited time, so every minute will feel important. And, I like how every conversation slowly reveals who we can trust and who to fear. Plus, the game keeps impressing me, as it even offers two endings.

All in all, the game feels very promising, especially with positive reviews on other platforms, and mainly due to its unique gameplay, overall depth, and the hand-drawn art style with expressive animations and a solid addition of a tense soundtrack. And to be honest, I want to try it as it’s from a solo dev.
