Moonton Games just recently announced that they will be introducing a new way to obtain ranked skins in Mobile Legends Bang Bang, beginning with the Season 27 Scarlet Shadow season of the game. Up until Season 26, players who attained Master rank or higher were eligible to obtain the seasonal skin reward. Players will just need to compete in 20 ranked matches beginning with the upcoming season to be eligible to acquire the ranked skins.
Players can now easily obtain ranked skins in Mobile Legends
The Season 26 of Mobile Legends is ending soon, on 30 December. Until this season, players had to grind a lot to obtain the ranked rewards. Especially the low ranked and low-skilled players had to grind hard to reach certain ranks to obtain the skins. With the introduction of the new skin-obtaining system, every player in MLBB will be able to unlock the ranked skins without much effort.
The new system will be implemented from 31 December, with the new season’s arrival. After completing 20 Ranked Matches in Season 27, players can earn the Winged Nightmare Argus skin for use that season. When players advance to a higher tier or division in the ranking ladder, they will still be eligible to receive the standard awards. These rewards include Loading Screen Borders, Star-Ups, and Rank Protection Cards.
Mobile Legends has been trying to encourage more and more players to play the game competitively through ranked games. We have seen several steps from the developers in the past to promote ranked games more in the game. This step will also encourage more players to play ranked matches, mostly the skin collectors of the game.
Although this decision can push many players to participate more in ranked games, there are mixed reactions about the step among the community. Several players were seen complaining about the exclusivity of the ranked skin. Ranked skins were exclusive to players who reached master rank or higher, making them somewhat more precious than other skins. With the introduction of the new system, ranked skins will surely lose their exclusivity.
