Netmarble has announced the first closed beta test for its emotional action RPG, MONGIL: STAR DIVE, set for South Korea from May 21 to May 27, 2025. Developed by Netmarble Monster and first announced in November 2024, the game has now opened recruitment for the CBT until May 19, 2025.
Get ready to embark on a new adventure with Verna and Cloud
In case you’re unaware, MONGIL: STAR DIVE is an emotional ARPG and the follow-up to Monster Taming, Netmarble’s beloved RPG from 2013. Set in the world of Belana, you can follow the new adventure of Verna and Cloud, joined by the mysterious mascot, Nyanners.
One of the coolest features is that you can tame monsters using Nyanners’ unique abilities, build a team of three, and battle using various skills. Not only that, you can even transform your monsters into Monster-rings and equip them to enhance your character’s abilities.
Built with Unreal Engine 5, the game looks promising, with an immersive story mode, character-driven narratives, high-quality cutscenes, monster ecosystem, tag-team battle sequences, and more.
How to apply for MONGIL: STAR DIVE closed beta
The good news is that MONGIL: STAR DIVE is scheduled to launch its first closed beta test (CBT) from May 21 to May 27, 2025. Moreover, the recruitment for the upcoming test is now live until May 19, 2025.
Here’s how you can join:
- First, head over to their official Korean X account.
- Next, find the CBT announcement post.
- There, tap on the link for private testing.
- Fill it out, and you will be good to go.
This CBT is specifically for South Korea, and if you are from other regions, you can’t apply for it. That said, I am still looking forward to the test and eager to know what the devs have in store for us. Stay tuned for more updates!
