My Hero Academia: The Strongest is shutting down globally after years of service
For those unfamiliar with the game, My Hero Academia: The Strongest is an open-world action RPG MMO, developed by the China-based Xin Yuan Studios. Based on Mr. Kohei Horikoshi‘s popular anime and manga series, the game features beloved characters like Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, and more.
Unfortunately, My Hero Academia: The Strongest Team announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the game will shutdown on March 31, 2025. They expressed their gratitude by stating, “The entire team is truly grateful for your support and passion throughout this journey.“
You can play and use Hero Coins while also requesting refunds
Following the announcement, the in-game purchase has been disabled, and removed from Google Play Store and App Store. However, if you still have the game installed, you can continue playing and use any remaining Hero Coins until the service ends.
On a positive note, if you have made purchases between January 25, 2025, and February 24, 2025, you can apply for refunds with verifiable receipts. Make sure to ask for a refund before the termination date.
Additionally, the devs are gifting players with SSS+ copies of Limited Heroes and 100,000 Hero Coins through a reward mail. The MHATSH Customer Support team will also remain available for user inquiries until 30 days after the shutdown.
It’s unfortunate to see a game based on such a popular IP shutting down, especially since many fans believed it had great potential. However, some feel this outcome was inevitable as the devs stopped caring for the game. While many players are disappointed, others are happy it’s shutting down.
