Netflix reportedly working with Japanese developer Atlus on multiple mobile games

Is this the start of something good?

Renowned gaming developer Atlus, the team behind fan favorites such as Persona and Shin Megami Tensei RPG series, reportedly appears to be venturing into the world of mobile gaming in collaboration with streaming giant Netflix.

Atlus partners with Netflix on new mobile games, including an addition to the Shin Megami Tensei series

Despite having major projects on the horizon such as Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio, as well as rumors about Persona 6, it appears that Atlus is not content to rest on its honors. According to recent reports, Atlus is planning to collaborate with Netflix on several mobile games.

The information comes from @MbKKssTBhz5, a reputable leaker with a track record of accurate Persona and Atlus-related leaks. According to leaks, one of the upcoming games is related to the Shin Megami Tensei series, implying a treat for fans of the dark and demon-filled universe. However, the leaker did not reveal how many projects Atlus is working on, the scope of these projects, or when fans can expect more official information.

To add to the excitement, Atlus has scheduled the third closed Beta Test of Persona 5: The Phantom X for January 16 in China. The latest release will be available on Android, iOS, and PC, demonstrating the developer’s willingness to explore new platforms.

As with any leak, we should treat this information with caution until Atlus or Netflix provide official confirmation. Still, the prospect of Atlus bringing their signature style of games to mobile gaming and potentially expanding the Shin Megami Tensei universe as well as the Persona series universe excites gamers everywhere. Stay tuned for more updates as the story progresses.
