NGELGAMES has announced that its RPG gacha title Hero Cantare will shut down its service in December 2023. In a recent post that has been shared on the title’s official Facebook page, Hero Cantare stated its decision to shut down all its existing servers and discontinue after being in service for three years. The game will be no longer available from the 28th of December 2023. However, the title called for an application from players for a refund.
“We are very sorry to say that Hero Cantare will be discontinuing its service on December 28th, 2023 (PST). Thank you for your love and support deeply again, and we will be looking forward to meeting you again,” the game said.
The game will close its IAPs and issue refunds to any unused Paid Gems
Hero Cantare, before the shutdown in December 2023, will remove all the in-app products (packages) during the maintenance on the 4th of December 2023. But players will be able to spend their remaining in-game currencies ill the end date.
Regarding the refund policy, players who purchased Paid Gem which is unused and acquired from the purchase between the 5th of November to the 4th of December will be subject to refund. Paid Gem that is already used, included in every package that is non-refundable such as Monthly Package or event Gem.
Hero Cantare’s recent decisions had met with negative feedback from players
While the news of the title’s discontinuance is surfing among the players, a few of them blamed the title itself for ruining the fun. A lot of players invested in King Dark as the character became a meta for its ability. However, the game nerfed the character and released the exact same with a little rework. However, players caught the act and took it as a very negative approach to the game.
There were other factors included as well that caused the title to witness a day of this kind. Hero Cantare is an epic webcomic crossover of Tower of God, Hardcore Leveling Warrior, and God of High School. South Korean game development company NGELGAMES released the game back in 2020. It managed to catch the interest of RPG gacha lovers but failed to maintain the players’ interest in the long run
