Nintendo has announced its new interactive app, Hello, Mario!, which is set to launch on Android, iOS, and Switch on August 26, 2025, in Japan. This Mario-themed app is part of the My Mario series, and it is designed especially for young children.
Play, poke, and laugh with Mario in this family-friendly app
Hello, Mario! is a free app for smart devices and Nintendo Switch software that lets children interact intuitively with Mario in playful ways. Here, you or your child can stretch and rotate him, and even poke his face, and Mario will respond with fun reactions.
You can tap the question mark block in the top left corner of your screen and pick an icon to reveal items such as Super Mushrooms, Super Stars, and even Bombs, Enemies. Moreover, you can even play Peek-a-Boo with Mario, and he also eventually dozes off after playing for a while.
You can look forward to a family-friendly Mario product line
The app is part of the My Mario series, a product line for parents and children to enjoy together. If your household is full of Mario fans, this one will be perfect for your home. That said, the series also includes two Mario Wood Block Sets, the Hello, Mario! board book, and It’s Me, Mario! Stop Motion Shorts.
Additionally, more products such as apparel, general goods, and plush toys are also planned for the future. However, the series will first be available in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto in Japan, with select items releasing outside Japan in 2026.
