Crunchyroll Games has announced the shutdown of their 3D action title, One Punch Man: World, scheduled for February 27, 2026. The game was launched just last February in collaboration with Perfect World and Crunchyroll Games, and is now terminating service in just a year.
Devs didn’t give any clear reason for the service termination
So, One Punch Man: World is an action-packed set in the beloved anime world of One Punch Man, filled with beloved characters, quests, challenges, and collectibles. Here, you get to follow the journey of Saitama, build your dream team of heroes and villians, and use ther abilities to take on diverse bosses.
Unfortunately, the One Punch Man: World Operation Team announced via X (formerly Twitter) that the game would shut down on February 27, 2026, stating “This decision was not made lightly, and we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the support and enthusiasm.“
You can enjoy the final moments and spend remaining in-game currences until EOS
Following the announcement, the game has disabled in-game purchases, top-up functionality, and even removed it from the app stores. You can still enjoy your final moments and spend any remaining World Silver or Gold in-game until the EOS date if you’ve the game installed. Plus, the OPMW Customer Support team is available until until March 29, 2026.
That said, it’s quite sad to see a game based on such a huge anime end in just a year of service. While some fans are asking to “relaunch it someday! This game has a lot of potential,” and even an “an offline version that has all the content,” but most aren’t surprised by the news as the management didn’t handle t well according to them.
