DRIMAGE Co., Ltd, has announced the shutdown of their anime-style RPG, Oz Re:write Shutdown, scheduled for April 21, 2026. Developed by MACOVILL, the game released in Japan in August 2025, and is now shutting down without even getting a global release.

So, Oz Re:write is an anime-style fairytale RPG set in an isekai world called ANOTHER that is created by OZ. Now as the reincarnation of him, you can bond with the adorable heroines like Snow White via Mirrorgram, and with them engage in 2D animated semi-automatic strategic battles.
Unfortunately, the Oz Re:write Team announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that the game would shutdown on April 21, 2026, stating “after repeated deliberations, we have concluded that it will be extremely difficult to continue delivering updates that satisfy everyone on an ongoing basis.”
You can play until EOS and request refunds for your Tailstones after that
Following the announcement, the game has disabled the Tailstone Shop. However, you can still use your unused Tailstones and play the game until the EOS date. And after EOS, you can request for refund for unused Tailstones, but I suggest you screenshot of your profile as you’ll need to provide your Nickname and IMID.
Whatever the reason maybe, it’s really sad to see a game end so prematurely, especially when it didn’t even complete a full year of service. Many fans are equally sad too as they loved “the art style and the world of this game.” Still it’s nice that the devs are at least providing an Art Book to preserve the legacy of this title.
