- PANDOLAND is a casual maritime adventure RPG developed by the creators of the Pokemon franchise.
- The game ran for 621 days in Japan and had a shorter global run starting last April.
- There will be no refunds or an offline version.
WonderPlanet has announced the shutdown of their adventure RPG, PANDOLAND, scheduled for March 6, 2026. Developed by GameFreak Inc., the game just launched globally this April, following Japan’s release on June 24, 2024, and is now terminating service.
Devs didn’t provide the exact reasons behind PANDOLAND’s service termination
After the Hatsune Miku collab, I thought we would be getting more such content from PANDOLAND, but looks like I was wrong. Anyways, for anyone unfamiliar, this one’s a casual marine adventure RPG, where you go on an epic journey to uncover legendary treasures as the leader of an explorer team.
Unfortunately, the PANDOLAND Team announced via X (formerly Twitter) that the game would shut down on March 6, 2026, stating, “We would like to express our deepest gratitude for all the support and feedback we have received over the years.” However, they didn’t mention the exact reason for this decision.
You can enjoy the final moments with a Thank You Campaign
Following the announcement, the game is set to disable in-app purchases from January 5, though you can still download the game from the app stores, and enjoy the final moments until the EOS date. Moreover, the team has also prepared a Thank You Campaign to make your final moments better.
But, it looks like there won’t be any refunds or offline version of the game, which is kind of a bummer, as the game had potential. Though there were early signs of EOS like the nine months of an unannounced maintenance mode after the Mega Man collab, one fan thinks it’s mainly due to being “heavily grindy and P2W,” in addition “the scam wheel.“
