Niantic has made an official declaration regarding the upcoming July 2023 update in Pokemon GO. Among the additions are the introduction of Mega Sableye and Mega Tyranitar in Mega Raids, along with various other enhancements. July marks the commencement of the second month of Pokémon GO Season 11: Hidden Gems, which spans from June 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to September 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to participate in Tier Five Raids featuring Regieleki and Regidrago, making it the inaugural occasion where these Galarian Legendaries will be available for Remote Raids.

Following Pokémon will appear in Five Star raids:
- Heatran: June 29th – July 6th
- The Legendary Birds of Kanto: July 6th – July 13th
- Articuno

- Regieleki making its debut in Legendary Raids after a stint in Elite Raids: July 13th – July 25th:
- Regidrago making its debut in Legendary Raids after a stint in Elite Raids: July 25th – August 4th
- Shadow Articuno with a Shiny release: Shadow Raids every weekend starting June 10th

The Mega Pokémon that will appear in Mega Raids in Pokémon Go this July 2023 are as follows:

Following are the events coming to Pokémon GO in July 2023:
- GO Battle Weekend – Featuring a new Pokémon between 1st and 2nd this time
- 7th Anniversary Party – This highly awaited annual celebration returns between the 6th and 12th
- Community Day Classic – With Squirtle at the helm, on July 9th
- Catching Some Z’s – A new event going live on the 15th and 16th
- Riolu Hatch Day – On July 22nd
- Adventure Week – Another beloved event returns towards the end of the month
- Community Day – Second one of the month on the 30th, with the featured Pokémon still under wraps

Spotlight hours take place on Tuesdays in Pokémon Go from 6:00 to 7:00 pm local time. The featured Pokémon and accompanying bonuses for this month are as follows:
- July 4th – Rufflet with 2x Catch Stardust
- July 11th – Wailmer with 2x Catch XP
- July 18th – Rhyhorn with 2x Catch Candy
- July 25th – Yungoos with 2x Transfer Candy
July 2023 Research Breakthrough
Starting from June 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) until September 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7), individuals have the opportunity to engage in Field Research tasks throughout the entire season. By doing so, they can receive a special encounter with various Pokémon such as Sableye, Beldum, Audino, Furfrou, Noibat, and Goomy.
