Blackpink, the K-pop sensation, will perform The Virtual as part of the brand-new PUBG Mobile Version 2.1 Update, giving fans an unparalleled in-game concert experience. Later this month, Blackpink will release a Special Track and music video on PUBG Mobile in addition to their world-first performances. In addition, Version Update 2.1 will include a brand-new themed game mode called Ancient Secret: Arise, as well as additional content for Cycle 3 Season 7 and Royale Pass Month 13.
Blackpink returns to PUBG Mobile with a special track and music video
The famed K-pop group Blackpink will return to PUBG Mobile this month in an epic and eagerly awaited move. One of the game’s most popular partnerships to date, the two previously worked together in 2020 to celebrate the release of Blackpink’s record The Album, but now PUBG Mobile is taking things to the next level by announcing an epic and dazzling collaboration that will provide players and Blinks around the world with a completely unique experience.
Fans will truly experience Blackpink if they purchase the bespoke performance costumes the group will be wearing during their performance in addition to attending the show. From July 23 until August 31st, players will be able to purchase the eye-catching attire that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are sporting. These outfits are sure to make players glow on the battlefield.
Starting on July 15, 2022, players can claim their complimentary tickets in-game, and the next day, they can preload the Event Resource Pack, which is necessary to attend the concert. Players will be in charge of bringing the Blackpink vibe to PUBG Mobile starting on July 19. Promotional material can be seen by giving presents to the artists in-game; the more gifts shared, the more promotional material! The PUBG Mobile x Blackpink collaboration proved to be a great success
Running over two weekends in July, the immersive audio-visual experience captivated the world with a total of 15.7 million views across the concert series. The in-game concert featured virtual performances of BLACKPINK’s chart-topping hits and the debut of a new special track ‘Ready For Love’. The 9 minute show was watched by audiences all over the world. Promotion for the concert took over iconic global locations including the famous Times Square in New York.
The BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE special track ‘Ready For Love’ music video was released as part of the partnership, has now been watched over 146 million times since its launch. The video marks the first time BLACKPINK have appeared in avatar form for a music video and the first time PUBG MOBILE has collaborated with artists on a music video featuring virtual images.
The 2.1 version update also introduces a new themed game mode
Bright lights eventually give way to sandstorms of dust as players can now access the new themed game mode, Ancient Secret: Arise. Experience the ferocious Sandstorm Zone that blows at random at the beginning of every match by entering through Themed Maps in Ranked mode in either Erangel, Miramar, or Livik. Scarab Charms, however, which can only be used once every game to return to the battlefield after being vanquished, will be given to daring players who enter.
The Emperor’s Temple can also be entered through the Quicksand Path, the Sand Giant can be moved, and the Ancient Secret can be ridden to uncover the Pharaoh’s riches. Primordial Water, which enables players to regain entire health and energy, can be obtained by looting the region or fighting an old adversary.
The battleground also contains a number of Scarab and Jackal ruins. Players will receive valuable crates for resolving their puzzles or eliminating the mummified guardian. There are also desert merchants to be found, whose goods can be purchased at incredible discounts at various points across the map. Finally, keep an eye out for the supply-filled Scorpion Crates that may be found all over the area.
PUBG Mobile will bring new content with Cycle 3 Season 7 and Royale Pass Month 13
With Cycle 3 Season 7, PUBG Mobile’s Version 2.1 update also adds a new set of Legendary goods, a Season Bonus Points Card, and a Rating Protection Card, enabling players to boost their match point total and safeguard their current season rating. Complete themed story tasks in Ancient Secret: Arise to obtain exclusive titles for players. As part of Royale Pass Month 13: Exo-Genesis, which began on July 19th, additional content has been released for gamers. Rewards include new finishes for the Mini14 and M762.
