Reclympics 2021 is the official summer game of the newly released video games‘ creation platform Rec Room. An immersive world of collaboration and creativity starts from August 14th, 2021 to September 5th, 2021. In this event, players from around the world will represent eight regions to compete in Rec Room-inspired events. The Reclympics will highlight the creativity and skills of Rec Room’s dedicated community, from custom-built venues to strong VR and screen competitions.
From all around the world, Rec Room’s 15 million+ lifetime users will have the opportunity to come together at the custom-built coliseum for this two-week event, which will be broadcasted on their YouTube channel. Also, to keep in touch with further updates, visit the official site of Rec Room.
Reclympics 2021: List of games and format
For a chance to win gold, silver, and bronze medals, players will compete in the below games
- Stunt Runner – A solo obstacle course where players race for the fastest times.(August 14th from 11am PST – 3pm PST)
- Laser Tag – Users can compete as a team event and battle different regions for the medals.(August 15th from 11am PST – 3pm PST)
- Archery – Users can compete in a skill-based, solo event that will showcase the talents of many of the Questing.(August 21st from 11am PST – 3pm PST) community
- Dodgeball – This game will be a team event based on a classic Rec Room game.(August 22nd from 11am PST – 3pm PST)
- Discus Throw – This is a new twist on a classic sport, players will need to be accurate with their throws to win.(August 28th from 11am PST – 3pm PST)
- Ultimate Frisbee – One of the earliest UGC games in Rec Room, will allow teams to compete against each other (and try not to break windows, TVs, or ceiling fans).(August 29th from 11am PST – 3pm PST)
- Paintball – A Rec Room classic, and the first game that inspired player-driven leagues. This event will be a day-long tournament.(September 4th from 11am PST – 3pm PST)
