Riot Games unveils new logo (2022) to step up towards a ‘cohesive visual system’

A new visual makeover for the studio!

Riot Games, the AAA video games studio behind titles like League of Legends and Valorant and also mobile games like Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends: Wild Rift etc, has announced a change in their logo (2022 edition) along with a new website to provide helpful resources to the press.

Riot Games is working on a more cohesive visual system

In the new 2022 logo, the color scheme has been changed from a white and black combination to a red and white combo. This change is “an output of building a more cohesive visual system”, the official announcement says.

The new logo was first spotted during the Season 2022 Opening Day Livestream event. This isn’t the first change in the logo though and this one makes things a little more modern while signifying the studio’s original spirit.

Riot Games’ statement says, These visual updates don’t change our mission or purpose, which remains aspiring to be the most player-focused game company in the world while making it better to be a player.” It continues, “As Riot enters its second decade, we felt the timing was right to update and expand the Riot Games visual system to set us up for success long-term.”

Riot Games launches new website for the press

The other important announcement was the new press site. Riot will release resources on the new website for the press to use. All they’ll have to do is create an account for free to get access to the assets which include videos, art, images, individual pages (and fact sheets being added soon) for all their games, Riot Entertainment, Riot Forge, Executive bios, and more. Users can also sign up to be notified of any changes and updates.
