Great news for Rocket League Sideswipe fans as season 2 goes live today at 4 pm PST and with it, season 1 of the car soccer game is concluding today. As Season 1 comes to a close, all Competitive Ranks will be reset. Players will be rewarded with Titles and Quick Chat Stickers based on their peak rank during Season 1 but rewards may take a short time to appear in a player’s Garage following Season 2’s launch.
Rocket League Sideswipe season 2 details
A lot of players showed discontent as the inaugural season didn’t have a lot of in-game items from the original Rocket League game. However, the developers have confirmed that popular in-game items will be featured in season 2 of Rocket League Sideswipe.
The new season’s highlights include two game modes – Casual Playlists and Volleyball mode. The Casual Playlists is the perfect place for players looking for a quick thrill where they can practice their craziest shots against real opponents without affecting their rank.
The upcoming Volleyball mode in RL Sideswipe
The biggest addition in Season 2 is definitely the Volleyball mode. This high-flying 2v2 mode features a central net, a new ball, and no goals. Players will score points when the ball touches the floor, allowing for powerful spikes and last-second saves. This season will also see a number of items from traditional Rocket League added to the game, with the Supernova, Dueling Dragons Goal Explosions, Breakout Car, and Sunset 1986 Wheels cited as specific examples.
The developers have further confirmed that more exciting items will be added to the game in the coming weeks. The new season will also have a new Rocket Pass during its launch.
