SNK and Hamster have been going all out since the start of the month. Recently they announced the legendary fighting game Fatal Fury for smartphones under the ACA NEOGEO series. Now they’re back with another banger, this time with Samurai Shodown being released for Android and iOS through the ACA NEOGEO series.
Samurai Shodown was first launched in 1993 featuring 12 characters facing off against each other to take on Shiro Tokisada Amakusa at the end. The 2D classic sword-based fighting game was an instant hit because Samurai Shodown featured stylish graphics with an incredibly deep risk and reward gameplay which was so ahead of the time when it was released.
Samurai Shodown to feature an all new and expanded movelist
Samurai Shodown under the ACA NEOGEO series will feature 15 iconic swordsmen who will take on each other to emerge as the best. Now players can defeat their enemies by unleashing a Weapon Smash Attack.
The all-new and expanded move list now has Forward Somersault, Backward Flip, Crouch, and more. The new layout will feature a 6 button layout and SP button instead of the old 4 button layout. This will make it easy for players to pull off deadly slashes without breaking a sweat.
