SEGA Corporation has announced its latest RPG, Gintama Sumaho Battle Chronicle, or Gintama Mobile Battle Chronicle, with pre-registration now open on both Android and iOS. Developed by NextNinja, the game is based on the classic Gintama anime and manga series.
Prepare to experience the chaos and charm of Gintama
Gintama fans are in for a treat as Gintama Sumaho Battle Chronicle is soon coming to mobile, though the release date hasn’t been announced yet. Now, it’s a new RPG based on Hideaki Sorachi’s beloved series, known for its goofy humor and sci-fi twist in the Edo period setting.
Coming back to the game, you’ll get to relive some of the most iconic moments with Gintoki and his gang while also diving into the chaotic and action-packed moments that define the series. Personally, while I’ve always loved the Big Three more, Gintama holds a special place for me, and the art style got me.
That said, there isn’t much info available yet, but I’m seriously looking forward to seeing Gintoki, Kagura, Sadaharu, and even Takasugi in action once again. Moreover, with SEGA behind the project and the solid trailer out now, I’ve really high expectations for it, though I wish it had a landscape mode.

Gintama Sumaho Battle Chronicle is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS. You can now pre-register for the game via the Google Play Store, App Store, or official website. According to the App Store’s listing, it is expected to release on February 4, 2026.
