SEGA has announced that its casual party game, Sonic Rumble, is set to launch on Android, iOS, and PC this November 5. Jointly developed in collaboration with Rovio, the game’s launch was just postponed recently in April, following multiple delays, including the original Winter 2024 release plan.

Experience the first-ever party royale in the iconic series

Sonic Rumble fans, the wait is finally over. After facing several delays, the game is officially ready to roll, and I couldn’t be more excited. For anyone new, this is the first-ever multiplayer party game in the Sonic series, where you’ll compete against 31 other players in fun, chaotic survival matches.

It was first announced as Sonic Toys Party, and here, you’ll play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and other fan-favorites, either going solo or teaming up with friends in squads of four. There are various game modes like Run, Survival, and Ring Battle, and I also love the customization, from character skins to animations and effects.

SEGA promises major key improvements following beta tests, improving the overall experience

While the delays were frustrating, it’s clear that the extra time paid off, as the devs have made major improvements in key areas, building a more dynamic core experience with competitive play, with the addition of iconic skills, the Crew System, time-limited events, and new stages and game modes.

They’ve also reworked the onboarding experience for new players, making it easier to jump right in. Plus, the UI is now smoother and more intuitive, with an easy-to-navigate hub. On top of that, the cosmetic and progression systems have been simplified, and the reward and shop systems have been fine-tuned.

The game is offering a variety of pre-registration milestone rewards, which are as follows:

  • 200K Pre-registrations: 5000 Rings
  • 400K Pre-registrations: Happy Sticker
  • 600K Pre-registrations: Crystal Chao Buddy
  • 900K Pre-registrations: Garnet Knuckles Skin
  • 1.4M Pre-registrations: Movie Sonic Skin
Play

Sonic Rumble is set to launch on both Android and iOS platforms this November 5th. You can now pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. At launch, you can look forward to the Sonic Movie 3 crossover event.
